Job summary

Bank of America seeks a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Financial Center Technology Team. You will develop and deliver complex requirements, build scalable solutions across desktop and iPad platforms, and advance modernization initiatives.

You will design, implement, and test front-end, back-end, APIs and microservices while mentoring peers in CI/CD and testing practices. This role emphasizes collaboration, quality, and innovation within an in-office culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with UI/ frontend technologies and RESTful services.
• Ability to design and implement scalable software solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while maintaining architecture integrity.
• Mentors other engineers on CI/CD practices and automating tool stack.
• Performs requirement refinement, estimation, and delivery lifecycle planning.
• Executes spikes/POCs to mitigate risk or explore new ideas.
• Automates release activities and maintains automated test suites.
• Develops front-end, back-end, API, and microservices components.
• Performs code reviews and ensures coding standards are followed.
• Monitors application health, performance, and operational stability.

Position Summary:

Financial Center Technology Team is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Full Stack Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in modern application development and a passion for exploring emerging technologies. This individual contributor will join a team of highly skilled engineers driving a strategic, multi-year Financial Center modernization and teller transformation initiative. The role involves designing, developing, troubleshooting, and implementing innovative solutions and proof-of-concepts that enhance the digital experience for Financial Center associates across desktop and iPad platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements


• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained


• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack


• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle


• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas


• Automates manual release activities


• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)


• Develop front-end, back-end, API, and microservices components as required


• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and resolve defects and production issues


• Monitor application health, performance, and operational stability

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of software engineering experience


• UI: HTML/JavaScript/CSS, JQuery, Angular X, Handlebars, Node/NPM


• Services: Java, Spring Boot Microservices, Spring


• Testing: Junit, Mockito, Jasmine
