Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Digital Technology Professional - Software Engineering to contribute to feature development within a cross-functional SCRUM team. You will balance guidance from senior engineers with independent delivery in a dynamic environment.

You will apply knowledge of SDLC, Lean/Agile practices, and CI to write high-quality code in C/C++/C#/Java, understand performance, and implement robust data structures while aligning with the project’s value proposition for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM majors.
• No professional work experience required but must have software development experience (educational or independent).
• Familiar with object-oriented languages and software development practices.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for programming a feature or small feature set.
• Follow SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product security, scalability and testing practices.
• Write code that meets standards and delivers functionality using project-selected technologies.
• Assess application performance and understand core data structures and algorithms.
• Work on a cross-functional SCRUM team (software, firmware, quality, product and program management) of 4–10 members.
