Job summary

WorkGenius Group in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a motivated software engineer to build and maintain internal applications with a focus on security and reliability. You will implement full-stack features using JavaScript/TypeScript, React on the frontend, and Python or Node.js on the backend, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You’ll write tests, monitor logs, and manage AWS deployments and CI/CD pipelines while hardening authentication and data validation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and React.
• Backend experience with Python or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Exposure to AWS, Git, code review, RBAC, software architecture, and relational data modeling.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; AI-assisted development experience is a plus.

Job description

Requirements: Requires 1–2 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrable experience, proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and a component framework such as React, and backend experience with Python or Node.js/TypeScript. Candidates should have exposure to AWS, Git, code review, RBAC, software architecture, relational data modeling, and administrative tooling, along with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills; AI-assisted development experience is a plus.
