Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to drive development of enterprise web apps using React and Spring Boot Microservices. You’ll contribute to modernization efforts, build robust APIs, and implement automated testing and CI/CD practices across teams.

You will collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to deliver scalable solutions in an Agile environment, while focusing on performance, reliability, and security across cloud-enabled deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Spring Boot, Java, and REST APIs.
• Experience building automated tests with Cypress.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab/Jira workflow.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Description

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong experience in modern web application development, backend services, and DevOps practices. This role will focus on building and enhancing enterprise applications using React and Spring Boot Microservices, while supporting ongoing platform modernization efforts. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who possesses strong communication skills, patience when working with cross-functional stakeholders, and an understanding of networking concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React and Spring Boot Microservices (MBC).
• Support application modernization and migration initiatives
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Create and execute automated tests using Cypress and other unit testing frameworks.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and code quality standards.
• Manage source code and deployment workflows using GitLab.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and backlog management through Jira.
• Troubleshoot application, deployment, and integration issues across environments.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technology improvements.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of full stack software development experience.

• Experience building and maintaining automated tests using Cypress.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and application architecture.

• Knowledge of networking and network engineering fundamentals.
• Experience working with Cisco technologies and networking environments.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and containerized deployments.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and operational environments.
• Familiarity with security scanning, vulnerability management, or application modernization initiatives.
