# Full Stack Software Developer - PyrecastSpatial Informatics GroupSoftware EngineeringRemote, US$90k - $110kToday HotApply →## Job Description## Role- Contribute to development of the PyreCast platform and its API/microservices.- Support product deployments and may assist with cloud hosting maintenance for PyreCast.- Report to the Senior Product Manager Lead.- Work in US-compatible time zones.## About PyreCastPyreCast is an open-source, near-term wildfire forecasting and risk-analysis platform for utilities, emergency managers, agencies, insurers, and risk practitioners.## Requirements- Experience in Clojure/ClojureScript, or experience in either Java/JavaScript and/or a different Lisp dialect (e.g., Scheme, Common Lisp).- Familiar with functional reactive UI development using ReactJS and/or Reagent.- Familiar with functional programming techniques (pure functions, immutable data, closures, laziness, function composition, memoization).- Experience with SQL DB programming in PostgreSQL.- Experience with cloud-native architecture, specifically within Google Cloud Platform.- Comfortable working in a Linux environment from the command line and administrating remote servers over SSH.- Experience with web mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox) and/or web mapping services (WMS, WCS, WFS) and servers (e.g., GeoServer).- Experience with geospatial processing using PostGIS, GeoTools, and/or GDAL/OGR.- Able to work effectively in a distributed team with frequent text, voice, and video communication.- Fluent in Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows: issues, pull requests, code reviews, and branch management.## Nice to have- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) with experience running Scrum meetings and processes.- Managerial or project/product management experience.- Experience presenting/representing the company at events.## Benefits- 100% remote with flexible schedule and work/life balance.- Full suite of benefits: healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, retirement savings (401k), paid family leave, bereavement leave, and paid time off.- Opportunity to combine analytics with creativity.- Visible role in a community of thought-leaders, scientists, and problem-solvers.## Compensation- Salary: $90,000–$110,000 USD (United States).- Location: 100% remote in the US.## Employment Terms- Full-time employment.- Part-time consultancy may be considered depending on experience and availability.
