Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Node.js/.NET Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support scalable, secure digital solutions. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment.

In this onsite role, you will work five days a week in Charlotte, NC or Birmingham, AL, contributing to backend services, APIs, and frontend development with React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong experience developing full-stack applications using .NET technologies and SQL-based databases.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js development.
• Experience with modern frontend technologies, preferably React.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms with exposure to AWS services such as Lambda and EKS.
• Experience working with version control systems such as GitHub.
• Familiarity with data formats and markup languages including JSON, XML, and HTML.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, .NET technologies, React, SQL-based databases, and cloud-native services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop and enhance backend services, APIs, and database integrations while ensuring application performance, reliability, and security.
• Contribute to frontend development efforts using modern JavaScript frameworks, with a preference for React.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver high-quality software.
