Job summary

Berkley Medical Management Solutions (BMMS) in White Plains, NY seeks a Software Development Engineer to join a team delivering robust, scalable software for workers' compensation management. You will code across the full stack (C#/Java, frontend and DB), design APIs, and participate in SDLC with agile teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in full‑stack development, experience with REST/GraphQL, microservices, cloud platforms, and modern web technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full‑stack development experience with .NET and/or Java.
• Experience building full‑stack web applications (backend, frontend, DB).
• Proficiency in .NET, C#, JavaScript, Java 21 and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience with HTML5, Angular, Node, React, RabbitMQ, MS SQL, SignalR, Git, Jira, Confluence.
• Experience with .NET Core, APIs (REST & GraphQL), Microservices, Windows services, async processing, multi‑threading and cloud.
• Database management with SQL Server or MySQL.
• API development with RESTful APIs and Web API.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
• Cloud integration with Azure or AWS.
• Testing and debugging abilities and unit tests.
• Experience with middleware integrations (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• As part of a team, participate in the full SDLC lifecycle.
• Write clean, scalable code and implement robust solutions.
• Develop and integrate APIs for data exchange between components.
• Code reviews, refactoring and applying best practices.
• Enhance existing applications and provide technical support.
• Create comprehensive documentation during the SDLC.
• Collaborate with staff, clients, providers and other departments.
