Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer to design, build, and modernize scalable web applications supporting workplace and retirement services. You’ll work with C#, .NET Core for backend services, and JavaScript/Angular on the frontend, delivering APIs and reliable systems.

You will collaborate with engineers and product partners, apply secure design practices, and contribute to a culture of mentorship while working on-site in Southlake, TX and Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET Core for building scalable backend services.
• Experience building single-page applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Ability to design, create, and consume RESTful APIs.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and enhance scalable full-stack applications that support critical workplace and retirement services


• Modernize legacy systems to improve performance, resilience, security, and compliance


• Develop and integrate APIs and foundational services that enable faster, safer partnerships and platform evolution


• Improve platform stability and reliability through thoughtful design, testing, and performance tuning


• Apply AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency, code quality, and team workflows


• Collaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders to influence technical direction and outcomes


• Contribute to a culture of mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

What you have

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development; BS/MS degree or equivalent experience.


• Demonstrated ability to design and develop full-stack web applications using modern development practices


• Proficiency in C# and .NET Core for building scalable backend services


• Strong capability with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to deliver responsive, accessible user experiences


• Experience building single-page applications using modern client-side frameworks such as Angular and TypeScript


• Ability to design, create, and consume RESTful APIs


• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including integrating backend services with data stores


• Experience applying unit testing practices and patterns to improve code quality and reliabilityUnderstanding of secure application design, including authentication and authorization concepts


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy applications while maintaining stability and performance


• Familiarity with performance evaluation, tuning, and observability in distributed systems


• Experience with web accessibility standards and inclusive design practices


• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum-based development environments


• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and practices
