Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Software Developer to deliver end‑to‑end full‑stack features for the Search platform and improve search relevance and performance. You will work within Schwab Technology Services, collaborating across product and architecture teams in an Agile setup.

The role emphasizes modern engineering practices, cloud‑native architectures, and AI‑assisted development while maintaining a strong focus on in‑person collaboration and on‑site work in Austin, TX.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 4+ years of full‑stack development experience.
• Strong expertise in Angular, JavaScript, C#, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience building microservices and cloud‑native applications.
• Experience building Single Page Applications using Angular or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git‑based workflows, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, communication skills, and ability to work across distributed teams.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools and exposure to AI and machine learning concepts.

The Search Team within Retail Web Technology is responsible for building and enhancing scalable, high-performance search experiences across client‑facing digital platforms. The team focuses on improving search relevance, performance, and user experience by leveraging modern cloud‑native architectures, microservices, and intelligent data processing. The team operates in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with product, architecture, and business partners to deliver client‑centric solutions and drive continuous innovation.

As a Software Developer - Sr. Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end full‑stack features within the Search platform. This role focuses on building scalable applications, improving search relevance and performance, and working within established architecture while adopting modern engineering and AI‑assisted development practices.

What you have

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 4+ years of full‑stack development experience
• Strong expertise in Angular, JavaScript, C#, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs
• Experience building microservices and cloud‑native applications
• Experience building Single Page Applications using Angular or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and performance optimization techniques
• Experience with CI/​CD pipelines, Git‑based workflows, and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem‑solving ability, communication skills, and ability to work across distributed teams
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted development tools and exposure to AI and machine learning concepts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with search platforms
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with Splunk or similar monitoring and observability platforms
• Familiarity with test‑driven development, behavior‑driven development, and modern testing frameworks
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments
• Advanced experience integrating AI and machine learning capabilities into production systems
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, automation frameworks, and intelligent workflows

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
