Job summary

Photon is seeking a Full Stack Lead in Dallas, TX (also listed for Chicago and Tempe) with a Bachelor's in computer science and 10–15 years of Full Stack experience. The role focuses on designing RESTful APIs, cloud-native AWS solutions, and AI/ML/RAG applications while maintaining strong ownership of end-to-end delivery.

The candidate will drive architecture, mentoring, and hands-on development across frontend and backend components, with broad responsibilities from design to production

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's in computer science

Looking for 10-15 years Full Stack Developer.

Backend & Databases

Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, backend services, and database-driven applications. Strong understanding of data modeling, schema migrations, authentication, and scalable service architecture.

Cloud Infrastructure: Experience designing and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS, including serverless architectures using Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB. Able to evaluate architectural tradeoffs between serverless and container-based platforms such as ECS/EKS.

AI/ML & RAG

Practical experience building Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, including vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines. Understands model evaluation, prompt engineering, and designing AI applications for enterprise use cases.

Ownership & Self-Driven Execution: Highly self-driven with a strong ownership mindset, capable of independently driving projects from design through production deployment. Proactively identifies challenges, proposes solutions, and delivers results with minimal oversight.

Resume Ownership

Able to confidently discuss any technology listed on their resume, including implementation details, design decisions, and technical tradeoffs. Demonstrates depth of understanding through real-world examples and lessons learned from hands-on experience.

Full-Stack Engineering

Strong full-stack development experience spanning frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. Capable of architecting, building, troubleshooting, and enhancing production-grade applications end-to-end.
