Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Java Web Application Developer to join a collaborative team. This mid-level role focuses on backend Java/Spring development and modern web UI with React.

Remote work is allowed, but candidates should be local to Atlanta, GA or Jacksonville, NC for possible onsite needs. You will design, develop, test, and implement enterprise web features, build RESTful services, and work with Oracle databases, Spring MVC, JSP/Servlets, and React to deliver scalable solutions in an agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with 2+ years of experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Interim Secret to start; Secret clearance after start.
• Experience designing and implementing Java-based web applications using Spring and Spring MVC.
• Full-stack web development: Backend Java/Spring REST services; Frontend React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with JSP/Servlets or equivalent server-side frameworks.
• Experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs (JSON).
• Strong OO design skills and familiarity with design patterns.
• Excellent communication, including interaction with end users and agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance Java-based web applications using Spring and related frameworks.
• Implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Develop and consume RESTful web services and integrate with backend systems.
• Work with Oracle database, including schema design, queries, and data access layers.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews).
• Apply OO design and common patterns to ensure maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to technology evaluations and tool/ framework recommendations.
