Job summary

Fort Worth, TX-based client seeks a Java Developer/Engineer to join a Sustainment team, focusing on cloud-hosted web applications. You will design, develop, test, and deploy back-end services and RESTful APIs, collaborating with infrastructure engineers to containerize and deploy in the cloud.

The role is temporary with potential for permanency and offers a hybrid schedule, requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance required.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or significant professional experience.
• Experience with Python REST APIs (Flask, FastAPI).
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience in Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety engineering analysis.
• Background in Aerospace industry or related field.
• Experience with Fleet Management software.
• Knowledge of predictive logistics.
• Proficiency in UML (Unified Modeling Language).
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience in cloud environments and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and design software solutions to meet those needs.
• Develop, test, and modify application source code in response to new requirements.
• Ensure continued functionality of programs during maintenance and testing phases.
• Document system and application details for future upgrades and maintenance.
• Develop and deploy software, including in cloud environments.
• Integrate external code into core libraries and install/configure application software.
• Evaluate third-party vendors and software partners.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs for application integration.
