ITegrity, Inc. in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Database Developer to design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL databases and develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

You will create RESTful APIs and modern web pages with ReactJS/HTML, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and scalability of data-intensive applications, with responsibilities from schema design to unit testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java development with Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and management.
• Experience in developing web applications using ReactJS, Spring Boot and HTML.
• Familiarity with CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with cloud-based services and deployment practices is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases with a focus on optimizing performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop backend services and integrate them with databases using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot to support front-end functionality.
• Develop ReactJS and HTML web pages to work with back-end services.
• Create database schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries to support application functionality and improve database performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database and server issues, ensuring uptime and data integrity.
• Write unit tests and conduct performance testing to ensure the reliability of developed systems.
• Follow agile development methodologies and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
