Job summary

ReClym Health in New York is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to join the founding team. You’ll own the platform end-to-end—from API and data model to frontend—shaping the product infrastructure for clinical use.

You’ll work directly with clinicians and a healthcare advisor, building with TypeScript/Node.js, React, and AWS. This role offers high ownership, autonomy, and impact in a startup setting aimed at expanding access to mental healthcare.

Qualifications

• Own production systems end-to-end including API, data model, and frontend
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js proficiency across backend and frontend
• Deep AWS knowledge (IAM, VPC, data security, audit)
• PostgreSQL mastery incl. row-level security and data protection
• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare or similar)
• Comfort building with limited team support and no QA/platform team

Responsibilities

• Own the platform end-to-end from API to frontend

• Decide what to ship and when, with accountability

ReClym is an early-stage startup building clinical intelligence for behavioral health practices.

We’re building tools that enable therapists to confidently accept insurance, streamline compliance, and ultimately increase access to affordable mental healthcare. We've built the core product and are looking for a senior engineer to oversee the next stage of the project.

The Role:

We’re seeking a full-stack engineer to join our founding team as one of our earliest members. You’ll work directly with the founding team and a well-known healthcare advisor to shape the product infrastructure and culture. This is a true founding-level role with high ownership, high autonomy, and high impact.

What you'll do:

• Own the platform end-to-end — API, data model, async processing, front end
• Take a working production system and make it robust enough for real clinical use at volume
• Own the security and compliance posture: data isolation, encryption, audit, access control
• Decide what ships and what waits, and be accountable for both
• Set how the team works - review, testing, and proving things work rather than assuming
• Work directly with clinicians on what the product should do, not just how it's built
• Build the engineering team as we grow

Who you are:

• Senior engineer who has owned production systems, not only contributed to them
• Strong TypeScript and Node; comfortable across backend and front end
• Real AWS depth — IAM, VPC networking, and RLS without reaching for a tutorial
• PostgreSQL beyond ORM usage: you understand what row-level security does and how it fails silently
• Experience in a regulated environment — healthcare, financial services, or similar
• Comfortable without the scaffolding of a large team: no dedicated QA, no platform team, no one to elevate to
• Experience with healthcare tools, HIPAA, insurance billing systems, or compliance
• AWS across seven accounts - management, security tooling, log archive, infrastructure, production, staging, development
• Fastify on ECS Fargate; Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless v2 with row-level security
• Vite + React SPA with an Express BFF, plus a separate embeddable widget
• Amazon Cognito, three user pools, MFA on PHI-mutating routes
• Amazon Bedrock via private VPC endpoint; Amazon Transcribe Medical
• EventBridge custom bus into nine Lambda functions
• KMS field-level encryption, S3 with SSE-KMS, CloudTrail centralised
