Job summary

NetImpact Strategies is seeking an AI Software Engineer to join our Federal mission systems team in the US-VA area. You will develop secure, scalable applications across .NET and Java stacks, covering design, development, deployment, and support.

You will collaborate with leads, architects, and stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions. Expertise in REST APIs, microservices, front-end frameworks like Angular/React, and cloud technologies is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development with .NET (C#) and Java (Spring Boot).
• Strong front-end skills with Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and OO design principles.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• US Citizenship required; eligible for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications and services using C#, .NET Core/Framework, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for integration across enterprise systems.
• Build and maintain responsive front-end applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate with architects and business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Support modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native architectures using Azure or AWS.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve development processes.
• Maintain compliance with federal cybersecurity and QA standards.
