FareHarbor, a Booking.com company, is looking for a full-time Engineer with experience in PHP, JavaScript, WordPress, UX, design, accessibility, and modern web standards to join the FareHarbor.me team in our Denver office. The FareHarbor.me team powers our managed website platform, which serves thousands of client websites.

We’re currently transitioning our platform to a Gutenberg-based theme architecture, and this role will play a key part in building the next generation of FareHarbor Sites —

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with large-scale production codebases.
• Strong PHP knowledge.
• Strong JavaScript knowledge.
• Strong WordPress knowledge, including plugins/themes.
• Strong semantic HTML and CSS knowledge, including modern and legacy techniques.
• Good understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• A keen eye for good web design and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Write clean (S)CSS, HTML(Twig), JavaScript and PHP.
• Create and build user-facing features for thousands of client websites.
• Collaborate with project managers to build custom features for Enterprise sites.
• Assist in mockups using design tools like Photoshop/Sketch for our design framework.
• Review pull requests and write technical docs for engineers.
• Share knowledge and support other engineers.
