Job summary

Zoox Inc. in Foster City, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to design and implement scalable web applications for our autonomous robotaxi service. You will collaborate with software teams, PMs, designers to build new features, and optimize performance across front-end React and back-end Node.js/Python services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in software engineering, CS, CE or related field.
• 2+ years in software development with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with front-end and back-end code, frameworks Vue/React/Svelte and Flask/FastAPI, and JS/TS/HTML/CSS/Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable web applications for Zoox's autonomous robotaxi service.
• Collaborate with software teams, PMs, designers to build new features.
• Optimize latency, CPU/memory usage, and database queries.
• Build full stack web apps to monitor and support fleet at scale with live visualization.
• Write clean, modular, well-tested code for front-end and back-end services.
• Investigate production issues, debugging logs and telemetry to maintain reliability.
