Full Stack Engineer (remote)

Remote | Full-time | Headquartered in Silicon Valley

AboutOwlery

Owlery is an AI-native transportation management system (TMS) and logistics platform for shippers, built in Silicon Valley. Our mission is to make supply chain teams happy. We build AI agents that work alongside logistics teams to plan orders, monitor shipments, and resolve problems before they cause delays. The result: shippers move freight faster, operate more reliably, and lower costs. Our founders were early team members at Uber Freight, where they helped build one of the largest digital freight networks in the US. At Owlery, they're applying that experience to the shipper side of logistics. We're a seed-stage company backed by top-tier investors, and we grew 3x last year. Our customers range from fast-growing mid-market brands to large enterprises, and they rely on Owlery to run their supply chains every day.

What you'll work on

Every engineer at Owlery works on AI. You won't be waiting for a separate \"AI team\" to hand you the interesting problems. You'll build, deploy, and improve AI agents that run in production for real customers. Your work will include:

  • AI agents that plan orders, monitor shipments, and take action on exceptions, from prompt and tool design to evaluation and production monitoring.

  • Core logistics workflows, including quoting, tendering, shipment tracking, and freight audit and payment.

  • Integrations that give our agents real data and real actions: enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA, NetSuite, and QuickBooks Online, warehouse management systems, and EDI (X12) trading partners.

  • Our multi-tenant data platform and the pipelines that power customer analytics.

You'll work directly with customers, help decide what we build, and ship to production often.

Our stack: TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, Node.js, MongoDB

What we're looking for

  • Several years of professional experience as a full stack engineer, with a record of shipping complete products.

  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience with a modern framework (React/Next.js preferred).

  • Solid database fundamentals, including schema design and query performance. MongoDB experience is a plus.

  • Ability to own unclear problems, debug across the full stack, and make practical tradeoffs.

  • Clear written communication in English and comfort working independently on a remote team.

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience building, evaluating, or deploying LLM applications or AI agents.

  • Experience at an early-stage startup.

  • Experience with logistics, supply chain, or enterprise integrations (EDI, ERP APIs, or similar).
