Job summary

Quest Global in Austin, TX is seeking a Software Engineer (Backend Engineer- Python) to design, develop, and maintain web applications with a strong emphasis on frontend and backend integration. You will collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver scalable modules, while applying best practices in software engineering and DevOps.

The role is on-site in Austin, with a focus on Python backend work alongside Node.js and React-based front-end components.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing web applications with frontend emphasis.
• Strong experience with React, Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS.
• Proficient in consuming REST APIs and HTTP responses.
• Experience with backend services (Node.js).
• Relational database basics (SQL).
• Git proficiency and collaboration in teams.
• Basic understanding of containers and DevOps (Docker/Kubernetes/AWS/CI/CD).
• Strong debugging and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, plan, and implement software development work.
• Collaborate with product manager to gather requirements for new modules.
• Evaluate and improve existing code using best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues and propose viable solutions.
