Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a senior Full Stack Engineer in Denver to architect mission-critical healthcare applications and lead cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes delivering cohesive UI and backend systems with strong clinical and patient impact.

You will partner with product, design, QA and security to balance architectural rigor with delivery speed in a hybrid in-office setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in full stack development.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular or similar) and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building backend services and APIs using .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful integrations.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Familiarity Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in professional software development (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar).
• Experience in healthcare environments or with interoperability standards is a plus.
• End-to-end ownership mindset – UI, logic, and data as a single system.
