Job summary

LaraBench is seeking a Full Stack Production Software Engineer in New York. You will own production incident response and diagnose complex issues spanning frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot across React, Laravel APIs, cloud services, and third-party integrations, build observability, runbooks, and contribute code to frontend and backend. On-call rotations included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong PHP and Laravel experience.
• Strong JavaScript and React experience.
• Experience troubleshooting production systems in cloud environments.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Proficient in Linux environments and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary engineering responder for production incidents and technical escalations.
• Troubleshoot issues across React applications, Laravel APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.
• Rapidly diagnose incidents, restore service, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, QA, and support teams to resolve customer-impacting issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for recurring problems.
• Improve application performance, stability, scalability, and resilience.
• Develop monitoring, dashboards, alerts, logging, and other observability solutions.
• Build internal tools and automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting documentation, and postmortem action items.
