Job summary

The Mortgage Office seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer (Node.js/React) to join our growing SaaS team in the San Mateo area. You will build core user experiences while contributing to backend services, aligning with our mission to deliver AI-native lending tools.

We require 3+ years in Node.js, TypeScript and React, with experience designing APIs (REST/GraphQL) and working with databases. The role offers a competitive salary range of 150,000–170,000 USD per year and hybrid work in San Mateo, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript across backend and frontend.
• Extensive backend experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
• Strong React experience with hooks, state management, and data handling.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and schema design.
• Knowledge of frontend architecture, component patterns, and performance optimizations.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization.
• Familiarity with performance optimization on frontend and backend.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end features from API to UI.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Build responsive frontend interfaces with React/TypeScript.
• Collaborate with backend team to define API contracts and ensure efficient data fetching patterns (REST or GraphQL).
• Work with designers and product managers to translate requirements into intuitive, polished user experiences.
