Full Stack Developer - Remote Contract, Omnichannel Engineering

Role Summary

Estée Lauder Companies' Digital Technology and Experience (DTX) team is a fast-growing engineering organization within The Estée Lauder Companies. We're looking for talented technical leaders to be part of our ambitious effort to make our company's multibillion-dollar business a leader in e-commerce worldwide.

You will work in a fast-paced environment on an online platform serving 300+ e-commerce sites globally. You’ll collaborate with highly experienced engineers, product managers, designers, and developers to analyze, architect, and build solutions based on business needs.

You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively under tight deadlines, and communicate clearly with team members. You are excited to learn about different cultures and share your own.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to a team of skilled full-stack developers implementing Omnichannel capabilities with a focus on delivering a best-in-class user experience.
• Work with dynamic back-end technologies (Elixir, Perl, Typescript) and help expand the use of React on our sites.
• Collaborate with global engineers and team leadership to define scalable technical solutions and integrate your work into our global technology products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve urgent technical issues promptly.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Who You Are (Skills Required)

• 3+ years of web development experience, with expertise in JavaScript frameworks.
• 2+ years of front-end development experience, with expertise in React and CSS, focusing on complex layouts and pixel-perfect design.
• 2+ years of back-end development experience, with expertise in Perl or NodeJS and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience building performant, responsive front-end components.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design patterns.
• A passion for writing clean, modern, maintainable, and high-performance code.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude.
• A positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Self-awareness and a desire for continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PHP and frameworks such as Laravel, Phalcon, Symfony, etc.
• Experience with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like VueJS, Angular, or Svelte.
• Experience with server-side rendering in Node.js, Next.js, or Hugo.
• Experience in e-commerce engineering.
• Experience with NextJS or Phoenix.
