Job summary

AlertMedia is seeking a Software Engineer II with full-stack experience for its Incident Response team. The role emphasizes building features that perform under active emergencies and integrating AI tools to improve developer productivity.

Ideal candidates have a strong JS/Python background, AWS experience, and a collaborative mindset. Remote work is supported from Mexico, with optional office collaboration in Mexico City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field.
• 4-5 years building scalable MVC/event-driven apps (Python/JavaScript).
• Experience with Linux containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with AWS and PostgreSQL/Redis.
• Proficient in unit and integration testing; strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for the AlertMedia Incident Response product.
• Build resilient features for live emergencies and degraded services.
• Learn the AlertMedia platform and its customer use cases.
• Work with JavaScript, Next.js, React, Python, Django, and related tech.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.
• Contribute to architectural evolution and innovative technology ideas.
• Communicate effectively with engineering and product teams.
• Support AlertMedia’s culture, values, and vision.
