Job summary

ETHOS - Talent & Advisory is seeking a seasoned full‑stack developer to join a federal IT client’s innovation team in Washington, DC. You will design and deliver Generative AI PoCs using Azure AI and AWS Bedrock, collaborating with data scientists and stakeholders to turn customer use cases into scalable, secure applications.

You will build both front‑end and back‑end components, prototype rapidly, manage cloud deployments, and contribute to architecture and documentation while staying current

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack development across front-end and back-end technologies.
• 3+ years Python development with clean code.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with Generative AI concepts and integrating AI/ML models or APIs.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerization (Docker/OpenShift).
• Strong practices in version control (Git/Bitbucket) and Agile methods.
• Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Vision experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AI/RAG concepts and Python web frameworks.
• CI/CD with Jenkins and automated testing.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and refine customer-provided use cases for Generative AI solutions
• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end Proofs of Concept (PoCs) using Azure AI and AWS Bedrock platforms
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and robust web applications, integrating Generative AI models and APIs
• Develop both front-end and back-end components, ensuring seamless user experience and efficient data processing
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on application features based on feedback and evolving requirements
• Integrate cloud services and manage deployment pipelines for PoC applications
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure application reliability and performance
• Collaborate with data scientists, UI/UX designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Document technical designs, development processes, and application architecture for knowledge sharing
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in Generative AI and full stack development

Required

• 5+ years of full stack development experience (front-end and back-end technologies)
• 3+ years of Python development with clean, efficient code writing practices
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and experience integrating AI/ML models or APIs
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, OpenShift)
• Strong software development best practices, version control (Git/Bitbucket), and Agile methodologies
• Azure services proficiency with focus on Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure Vision
• Solid understanding of AI and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) concepts
• Python web frameworks experience for building APIs and backend services
• Unit testing, CI/CD (Jenkins), and version control (Bitbucket) expertise
• Azure DevOps familiarity for automating builds, testing, and deployment
• Understanding of compliance and security best practices for handling sensitive federal data

Preferred

• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI API for NLP and generative modeling
• Mastery of Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experience preprocessing and cleaning data for RAG ingestion
• Production deployment experience with Generative AI models on Azure infrastructure
• Proficiency in C# and Java
• Familiarity with data science tools and frameworks (Jupyter Labs, pandas, PyTorch)
• Awareness of current issues and trends in Generative AI development
