Job summary

Nuro is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer for the Fleet Platform & Operations Tooling team. You will build internal tools and platform systems to help manage, monitor, and maintain our autonomous vehicle fleet.

This hands-on role spans frontend surfaces and backend services, integrating with onboard systems, cloud infrastructure, and partner APIs. You’ll work end-to-end on features, contribute to frontend architecture, and improve reliability through testing and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript for production web apps.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, browser APIs and modern frontend tooling.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful or gRPC APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).
• Ability to work across the stack and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web practices.
• Develop backend services and APIs integrating with vehicle systems, cloud infrastructure, and partner platforms.
• Build tools for fleet monitoring, vehicle health, maintenance workflows, and operations decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Operations, and partner teams to define requirements and deliver user-facing products.
• Own features end-to-end from scoping to deployment and iteration.
