About The Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Drupal Engineer to play a critical role in the development, optimization, and maintenance of our cutting-edge Drupal-based e-commerce platform. This is a fully remote role open to candidates residing in Illinois or Wisconsin only. The ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of full-stack Drupal experience, with a strong foundation in performance, security, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Drupal-based e-commerce solutions
• Implement and optimize custom modules, third-party integrations, and workflows
• Ensure high performance and security standards across front-end and back-end systems
• Lead code reviews, testing, debugging, and adherence to coding best practices
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver efficient solutions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, infrastructure, and processes
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, Drupal updates, and e-commerce trends
• Support migrations, module upgrades, and version transitions across Drupal 6–10
• Participate in the Drupal open-source community (code contributions, bug reporting, etc.)
• Maintain rigorous documentation and clear communication across teams
  
  

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in full-stack Drupal development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale e-commerce platforms
• Strong proficiency in PHP, object-oriented programming, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SQL
• Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows
• Familiarity with performance optimization, security best practices, and accessibility standards
• Agile development experience
• Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must be a resident of Illinois or Wisconsin
  
  

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Decoupled Drupal and headless commerce
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kibana, New Relic, or automated testing tools
• CRM/ERP integration experience (e.g., HubSpot, Acumatica)
• Linux proficiency
• Mentorship experience
• CompTIA Security+ certification
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
