Insight Global is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team onsite in Covington, Louisiana. You will develop custom internal applications using Python/Django on the back end and React/TypeScript on the front end, contributing to new product development and feature enhancements in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding (~90%) within a 9/80 schedule, collaborating with engineers to deliver impactful software that improves operations.

Qualifications

6+ years of software development experience.
Experience developing Python Django applications and deploying them into production.
Proficiency with React and TypeScript production.
Hands on SQL schema design and query work.
Experience with Restful API design, implementation, and integration.
Familiarity with Docker, AWS, Automated testing, and Git.
CI/CD pipeline experience.
Experience with application maintenance and enhancements.
Experience working with engineering, utility, energy, or industrial software domains.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy internal applications using Django/React.
Collaborate within Agile teams on six-week sprint cycles.
Build scalable APIs and maintain existing systems.
Participate in testing and code reviews to ensure quality.
