Job summary

iCapital seeks an Associate Full Stack Engineer with an initial frontend emphasis to join the Post-Investments Technology team in New York. You will build a TypeScript-based frontend that integrates with Scala and Rails backends, with opportunities to contribute across the stack over time.

You will work with multiple engineering teams, Product, and Design to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, and participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.

Qualifications

• Frontend-focused full stack engineer with emphasis on UI/TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of backend tech such as Scala or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience in microservices architecture.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Experience supporting complex, high-scale, client-facing apps.
• Familiar with document-heavy or workflow-driven UIs.
• Willing to grow backend ownership over time.

About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Associate Full Stack Engineer with an initial emphasis on frontend development to join the Post-Investments Technology team. This individual will work closely with multiple Engineering teams to build and evolve a TypeScript-based microservice frontend that integrates with Scala and Ruby on Rails backend systems. While the focus will start on the frontend, the role is expected to contribute across the stack over time.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using TypeScript, with a strong focus on usability, performance, and upkeep.
• Collaborate with multiple Backend teams working in Scala and Ruby on Rails to integrate frontend services with distributed microservice architectures.
• Contribute to API design and backend development as needed to support end-to-end feature delivery.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
• Support and enhance critical, client-facing platforms and workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience as a full stack engineer, with stronger depth on the frontend
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks
• Working knowledge of backend technologies such as Scala or Ruby on Rails
• Experience working in a microservices-based architecture
• Able to collaborate effectively across multiple teams
• Experience supporting complex, high-scale, client-facing applications.
• Familiar with document-heavy or workflow-driven user interfaces
• Willingness to grow deeper into backend ownership over time

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $135,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
