Job summary

Digital Waffle is seeking a Software Engineer to build the video intelligence platform’s core systems, blending backend processing with AI-native features and scalable frontends. You’ll own data pipelines, ML interfaces and real-time detections, shipping end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Go, Python or C++ and real experience with modern frontend stacks.
• Experience with distributed systems, containers and cloud-native infra.
• Startup experience building from scratch or scale-up experience.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development and opinions on where it works.
• Ability to work on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities

• Backend services ingesting, processing and serving video and sensor data at scale.
• AI-native features shipped end to end including real-time detections and AI-assisted workflows.
• User-facing frontends in TypeScript and React, collaborating with product.
• APIs and systems interfacing with ML pipelines and edge device fleet.
• Distributed systems with high availability and ground-up architectural decisions.
