Job summary

Avala in San Francisco is hiring a full-stack engineer to work across Flutter web, Django API, and React marketing sites, delivering user-facing features end-to-end from database to UI. You will implement API endpoints, manage datasets, and contribute to SDKs, collaborating with design and product, with tests and code quality across Flutter, Python, and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least two of Flutter/Dart, Python/Django, TypeScript/React.
• Experience building production web applications with modern frameworks.
• Comfort working across frontend and backend boundaries.
• Strong product sense and user-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build features across Flutter web, dataset management, project workflows, and annotation tools.
• Implement Django API endpoints and Celery tasks to support product features.
• Develop and maintain React/Next.js sites (marketing, learning, investor portal).
• Build SDK features and developer-facing tools (Python SDK, TypeScript SDK).
• Collaborate with design and product to ship accessible user experiences.
• Write tests and maintain code quality across Flutter, Python, and TypeScript.
