Full-Stack Engineer - Agentic AI For Healthcare Automation

Location: Remote (US preferred)

Type: Full-time, Early-Stage

About Us

XY.AI Labs is a venture-backed startup on a mission to remove friction from healthcare. Our agentic AI platform combines purpose-built agents and intelligence layers to streamline complex operational workflows—giving healthcare providers back what matters most: time for care

Our system combines:

• A Python backend (agentic task orchestrator) for agent logic and queue-based workflows
• A Chrome extension browser agent that observes and replicates user actions across healthcare portals
• A Next.js frontend for configuring agent workflows and visualizing runs
• A Postgres db , and integrations with external providers like Google Drive, Outlook, and various EHR APIs

You’ll be part of a strong technical team that works directly with US healthcare providers to streamline their operational l workflows — (including their existing tech stack ad tools and documents) — and build agentic workflows that become actionable and intelligent teammates in the process.

AI-First Mindset

This is not an ML role — but you should be comfortable implementing applied LLM solutions .

Think: building multi-step workflows powered by GPT, Claude, or open-source models; tool calling; vector DB lookups; and chaining actions in memory-safe, observable ways.

Bonus if you’ve worked with:

• Function calling / tool use via LLMs
• Vector databases (Weaviate, Qdrant, Pinecone, pgvector, etc.)
• LangChain or custom agent architectures

What You’ll Do

• Build full-stack features across our browser agent, orchestration backend, and workflow configuration UI
• Design and ship ingestion pipelines that extract structured tasks from messy spreadsheets and PDFs
• Extend our agent orchestration system to support new task types and retry logic
• Scale and improve the browser agent’s task execution and reliability
• Debug real-world workflows alongside actual users in healthcare

You Should Have:

• 3+ years of full-stack experience (ideally JS/TS + Python)
• Comfort across React/Next.js, SQL, and backend APIs (gRPC, tRPC, REST)
• Experience working with workflows, state machines, or queue-based systems (Redis, RabbitMQ,...)
• Familiarity with integrating LLM-based solutions into production apps
• Bonus: experience with Puppeteer, Playwright, or browser automation
