Job summary

Clarvos is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to own features from idea to production. You will design, build, deploy, and improve applications, influencing architecture and mentoring others in a fast-growing environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Data Engineering, and MLOps teams to deliver scalable solutions, emphasizing responsible AI usage and high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12 years of full stack engineering experience (exceptional candidates with 6+ years welcomed).
• Strong backend experience with Java and Spring.
• Expertise with modern frontend technologies: React, Next.js, Vue.js, Angular.
• Experience building and scaling web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of caching strategies and API optimization.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading complex technical initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll serve as a key technical leader across our engineering organization, owning features from idea through production.

• Architect and develop scalable web applications using modern frontend frameworks and robust backend services.
• Build high-performance user experiences with responsive UI components, modern state management patterns, and thoughtful user-centric design.
• Design and optimize APIs, data models, and system architecture for scale and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Engineering, Data Science, and MLOps teams to bring innovative solutions to market.
• Guide technical direction, influence architecture decisions, and help shape the future of the Clarvos platform.
• Mentor engineers while maintaining a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Deploy, monitor, improve, and scale applications that directly impact our customers.

What You'll Own:

Full Stack Development

• Design and implement scalable applications using Java/Spring backends and modern web frameworks.
• Build and optimize REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs.
• Develop new features and improve existing functionality.
• Create automated testing and deployment strategies.
• Reduce technical debt while improving system performance.

Technical Leadership

• Lead architecture discussions and technology evaluations.
• Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other engineers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define technical requirements and solutions.
• Monitor system health and performance metrics.
• Improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Document architecture, technical decisions, and implementation details.
• Champion clean code, engineering standards, and modern development practices.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

8–12 years of full stack engineering experience (though exceptional engineers with 6+ years are encouraged to apply)

Strong backend experience with Java and Spring

Expertise with modern frontend technologies such as:

• React
• Next.js
• Vue.js
• Angular
• Similar modern frameworks

Experience building and scaling web applications, APIs, and distributed systems

Strong understanding of:

• Caching strategies
• API optimization

Experience mentoring engineers and leading complex technical initiatives

Bonus Points:

By 90 Days

• Own full-stack features from requirements through deployment.
• Contribute to architecture and scalability initiatives.
• Become a trusted technical voice on the engineering team.
• Help mentor others and elevate engineering best practices.

$180,000- $220,000 (DOE)

Effective immediately upon hire, Clarvos offer medical, dental, and vision, along with a wide variety of voluntary insurance options. Employees can take advantage of the employee assistance program, health advocate services, and choose between a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA). We have employer paid short- and long-term disability and life AD&D. Clarvos have 9 paid holidays and a 401(k) plan with discretionary company matching. New hires accrue PTO and earn an equivalent of 160 hours per year. Benefits are zip code specific.
