Job summary

Albert Bow is hiring a Senior/Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer to own end-to-end features in a modern TypeScript stack (Node.js, Express, GraphQL, React) and to design scalable PostgreSQL schemas.

You’ll work across the stack on AWS, mentor teammates, and build AI-powered automation for enterprise workflows in a remote-first fintech environment.

This hands-on role balances backend focus with frontend ownership and requires strong product thinking and security awareness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 5 years operating at Senior Engineer level or above.
• Production experience with Node.js/Express and React.
• Experience with GraphQL/Apollo and PostgreSQL.
• Experience scaling distributed systems on AWS.
• Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience, preferably Terraform.
• A balanced full-stack background, ideally 50/50 or 60/40 backend/frontend.
• At least two years of stable tenure and progression within a technology company.
• Experience at a VC-backed startup, high-growth software company or FAANG-level organization.
• Strong product thinking, communication and awareness of security risks.
• Ability to work remotely during U.S. business hours.

Responsibilities

Senior/Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer — TypeScript, Node.js & React

A well-funded, AI-native Series B fintech startup is hiring Senior and Staff Full-Stack Software Engineers to help modernize one of the largest and most complex financial workflows in the United States.

The platform has already supported more than $85 billion in transactions and is expanding rapidly with major enterprise customers. You’ll join a remote-first engineering organization building mission-critical software with a modern TypeScript stack, strong developer tooling and substantial product ownership.

This is a hands-on position for engineers who enjoy working across the stack. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending approximately 50–60% of their time on backend development while still owning frontend features and infrastructure through production.
