Job Overview

First Advantage is searching for a Software Engineer to add new features, maintain existing functionality, and provide support to key products. The role involves full life cycle software development, integrating components into a high‑volume, security‑intensive application, and developing quality assurance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan application design by clarifying goals and designing functionality.
• Extend and improve software systems through enhancements, monitoring performance, and evaluating improvement options.
• Introduce new technology and update code coverage with unit testing and automated QA.
• Design and apply security standards to protect systems from misuse.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud deployments with standardized, automated, auditable processes.
• Support production releases, respond to client queries, and identify bugs or enhancements.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional organizations.
• Collaborate with teammates and support them as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience.
• 3+ years hands‑on programming experience in Microsoft C# (preferred) or comparable language.
• 3+ years experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated competence with object‑oriented principles, design patterns, multi‑tiered architectures, and best practices.
• Experience with web API, RESTful API design, JSON, XML, and related protocols.
• Experience with Vue.js (or equivalent frameworks) and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with Azure or AWS (or equivalent cloud platforms) and knowledge of security and scalability fundamentals.
• Ability to diagnose, debug, and resolve code issues efficiently.
• Methodical and tenacious approach to troubleshooting complex problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, respectful attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with No‑SQL databases such as CosmosDB or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of MVC, MVVM design patterns.
• Competence with MS Visual Studio, VSCode, and Git source control.
• Experience with Azure monitoring.

Salary Range

Approximately $110,000–$140,000 base annually, with offer tailored to experience and qualifications.
