We are hiring a frontend-leaning Full Stack Engineer to own production features across our customer web application, company website, internal admin tools, and Android kiosk/device software. You will partner closely with the Technical Lead, take day-to-day ownership of frontend and device-facing delivery, and contribute to the backend services that connect physical machines to the platform.
Your initial priority will be the company website rebuild from architecture decision through launch: reusable components, CMS and content migration, analytics, technical SEO, redirects, performance, release validation, and post-launch monitoring. Over time, the role will focus primarily on product and admin frontends, kiosk/device-screen experiences, and machine-related service integration.
This is a hands-on software role, not an electrical or mechanical engineering position. You are not expected to be an expert in every technology below; we value depth in React and TypeScript, strong full-stack fundamentals, practical troubleshooting, and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems independently.
What You'll Own
Customer, Admin & Public Web
- Build responsive, accessible, maintainable customer-facing interfaces using React and TypeScript.
- Develop and maintain operational and administrative workflows built with Vue.
- Own data fetching, client state, authentication flows, loading and error states, analytics, and frontend performance for the features you ship.
- Translate product and design requirements into reusable components, reviewable changes, and production-ready releases.
Website Rebuild, CMS & Technical SEO
- Evaluate the target website architecture with the team and implement the selected WordPress or modern React-based CMS approach.
- Lead component development, CMS modeling, content migration, accessibility, responsive behavior, analytics integration, launch coordination, and editorial handoff.
- Own the technical SEO lifecycle: URL inventory, redirect mapping, metadata, canonical URLs, structured data, sitemap and robots configuration, Core Web Vitals, launch validation, and post-launch monitoring.
Android Kiosk & Connected-Device Software
- Build and maintain kiosk and device-screen applications with React Native, Expo, and Android-friendly interaction patterns.
- Design explicit loading, offline, timeout, retry, recovery, and operator-diagnostic states for unattended devices.
- Integrate application workflows with device APIs and hardware bridges; support controlled OTA releases, fleet diagnostics, MDM/ADB workflows, and rollback.
- Design, implement, and integrate REST or gRPC APIs using the most appropriate existing Go or Node.js service stack.
- Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for data modeling, migrations, transactions, caching, and production troubleshooting.
- Build reliable asynchronous workflows using RabbitMQ and MQTT, including idempotency, acknowledgements, retries, deduplication, timeouts, and recovery after partial failure.
- Write unit, integration, and UI tests for important workflows and regression-prone behavior.
- Package, deploy, and troubleshoot services with Docker and Kubernetes; contribute to Helm/Argo CD/Kuboard releases, health checks, observability, and safe rollback.
- Document architectural decisions, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks; communicate risks early and collaborate across product, design, and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Three or more years of professional software-development experience, or equivalent evidence of delivering and maintaining production software.
- Experience delivering at least one full-stack feature from user interface through API and persistent storage.
- Experience designing or consuming REST APIs and working with a relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience shipping a CMS-backed marketing or corporate website, with a working understanding of content migration, analytics, technical SEO, and release validation.
- Working familiarity with asynchronous workflows, device APIs, WebSockets, event-driven integrations, or message queues, including retries and failure recovery.
- Practical understanding of authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling, and secure handling of configuration and secrets.
- Experience with Git-based collaboration, code review, automated testing, CI/CD fundamentals, and Dockerized applications.
- Ability to work independently, write clear technical documentation, and communicate assumptions, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Ability to work with physical test hardware at our Ontario, California location, with or without reasonable accommodation, when device integration requires it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vue 3, Pinia, Vben, Naive UI, or a comparable frontend stack.
- WordPress engineering beyond content editing-custom themes, Gutenberg blocks, ACF, hooks and filters, WP REST API, WP-CLI, or plugin development.
- Next.js, server-side rendering, Payload CMS, or another headless-CMS architecture; experience with an SEO-sensitive site migration is especially useful.
- React Native, Expo, Android kiosk applications, WebView shells, MDM, ADB, or OTA update and rollback workflows.
- Go, go-zero, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Node.js, Fastify, or server-sent events.
- PostgreSQL transactions, Redis, RabbitMQ, MQTT/EMQX, outbox/inbox patterns, or state-machine-based workflows.
- Payments, e-commerce, manufacturing, fulfillment, NFC, IoT, robotics, or other hardware-integrated product experience.
