Job summary

Key Talent Solutions seeks engineers to build AI agents that survive real customer deployments. You will turn vague requirements into production systems and own them in production, with direct customer involvement.

You will own the complete stack for these agents: integrations, interfaces, retries and fixes, collaborating with founders and the core product team. In-person in NY/ SF, or remote for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of software engineering experience shipping to production.
• Ability to write and debug Python by hand (not via prompts).
• Experience shipping TypeScript and React to real users, not demos.
• Willingness to be in the room with the customer and communicate in English.

Key Talent Solutions partners with a portfolio of venture-backed AI companies putting agentic products directly into customer workflows. We are looking for engineers who take a vague requirement from a real company, turn it into a system that runs in production, and own it when it breaks.

What you'd own

• AI agents configured and productionized per customer, from a messy first conversation to a live deployment
• The full stack that makes it hold up in someone else's environment: the integrations, the interfaces, the retries, the fixes
• The build decisions, working directly with founders and the engineers who own the core product

What we're looking for

• 2 to 5 years of software engineering, shipping to production
• You write and debug Python by hand, not by prompting
• You have shipped TypeScript and React to real users, not to a demo environment
• You want to be in the room with the customer. Not managing the account, building the thing they need while they watch
• Comfortable running customer conversations and written updates in English

Strong bonus signals

• Forward-deployed engineering at Palantir, Sierra, Decagon or a company in that lane
• You have been the first engineer into an account and owned what happened next
• Agent frameworks, retrieval, or tool-use orchestration shipped to a paying customer

Location: New York and San Francisco, in person. A few seats sit in other cities or remote, so say where you are.

Compensation: $150K to $300K base, plus equity. Exact range depends on the client, city and level.

Not a fit: technical support, escalation and production-support engineers; presales, solutions and sales engineers; implementation consultants at enterprise software vendors; IT services and staffing backgrounds; and anyone who confuses a demo with a deployment.
