Job summary

Sonata Software seeks a senior Full Stack Engineer to design and implement secure REST/GraphQL APIs, integrate Stripe payments, and orchestrate webhooks. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile/Scrum setting to deliver scalable, serverless and microservice‑driven solutions.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years of backend and full‑stack experience, including API security and cloud skills (Azure/AWS). This onsite Minneapolis role requires relocation to client offices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend development experience.
• Hands-on with Stripe APIs, webhooks, payments, and subscriptions.
• Experience integrating third‑party SaaS platforms and external APIs.
• Strong REST/GraphQL knowledge and webhook architectures.
• DB experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Build API gateways and integration layers with Stripe and third‑party systems.
• Create OpenAPI/Swagger specs and ensure API security with OAuth 2.0/JWT.
• Develop webhook endpoints for payments, subscriptions, and notifications.
• Ensure reliable CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Note :Virtual Client Interviewis fine but consultant needs to relocate to Minneapolis and work from client office once he getselected.

JobDescription:

• 7+ years of experience in backend development.


• Hands-on experience with Stripe APIs, webhooks,payment processing, and subscription management.


• Experience integrating third-party SaaSplatforms and external APIs.


• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, andwebhook architectures.


• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, orother relational/non-relational databases.


• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, API security, anledning practices.


• Experience with Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, orserverless architectures.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architecture andmessage queues.


• Payment industry and PCI compliance knowledge.


• Experience with POS, eCommerce, loyalty, orretail integrations.


• Exposure to microservices and distributedsystems.

PreferredExperience

• Building end-to-end payment solutions usingStripe.

APIDevelopment & Integration

• Design and develop secure, scalable RESTAPIs using Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript.


• Build API gateways and integration layersconnecting internal applications with Stripe and other third-partysystems.


• Create API contracts, specifications, anddocumentation using OpenAPI/Swagger.


• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT,API Keys, Managed Identities, and Azure AD authentication.


• Develop API throttling, rate limiting, caching,and performance optimization strategies.


• Design data transformation and orchestrationservices for integrating multiple external platforms.


• Build and maintain webhook endpoints forpayment processing, subscriptions, notifications, and transactionmanagement.


• Ensure API reliability through automatedtesting, monitoring, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
