We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer for a 6+ month contract position in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on infrastructure-as-code authorship, full-stack application development, and modern delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain Terraform modules-named modules or documented contributions to shared or private-registry modules with owned features, breaking changes, and version management.
• Develop full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) or Go/TypeScript, including front-end components (React or equivalent), APIs, and data stores.
• Design, build, and deploy complete features from infrastructure through application layer to production.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar) into daily workflows to accelerate delivery.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• Required
  • Hands-on Terraform module authorship experience (not just usage or management)-recent, demonstrable work.
  • Strong Java development experience with Spring Boot or equivalent modern framework; Java is the core language required.
  • Full-stack capability: proficiency in both back-end services and front-end development (React or comparable).
  • Practical experience with AI-augmented development tools in daily workflows, with a specific shipped example.
  • 3-6 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Preferred
  • Experience with Go or TypeScript/JavaScript in addition to Java.
  • Python proficiency.
  • Public GitHub contributions or portfolio demonstrating infrastructure and application work.
