Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a software engineer to contribute across the full software lifecycle, utilizing Java, AWS, Spring Batch, and React. The role emphasizes AI experience and Agile practices in a dynamic environment with on-site work in Columbus, OH and several secondary locations.

The ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in multiple programming languages, cloud development, security, and CI/CD, with a collaborative mindset to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions.

• Proficient in application development across multiple technologies and design techniques.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and ability to work in at least one common framework.
• Understanding of CI/CD, TDD, cloud development, resiliency and security.

Job description

• Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques
• Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks
• Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages
• Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software

Primary work location: Columbus OH

Secondary work Location: Wilmington DE / Plano, TX / New York city, NJ / Jersey City, NJ

Pay Range: $60 - $70/hr.
