Job summary

Axiom is reshaping retail trading with fast, intuitive interfaces and on-chain data integration. We are based in Austin and seek engineers who own features end to end, from UI to data layer, and mentor peers in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

You will build with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and real-time data streams, shipping robust features and maintaining performance across services.

• Deep TypeScript experience on both the client and the server.
• Solid React fundamentals and strong Postgres familiarity.

• Comfortable with high ownership in a fast-moving environment.

About the Role

• Own product surfaces end to end: the interface, the service behind it, and the data model underneath

• Ship features across a Next.js frontend and a fleet of TypeScript services

• Work closely with design and product from concept to launch

• Keep the whole path fast — query, cache, socket, and render

• Debug production issues wherever they land, from the browser to the database

• Know when the simple version is the right one, and cut scope accordingly

• Raise the engineering bar through strong judgment and mentorship

Minimum Qualifications

• Deep TypeScript experience on both the client and the server

• Solid React fundamentals and real comfort with Postgres

• Excellent programming and debugging fundamentals

• A track record of shipping complete features, not slices of them

• Comfortable working with high ownership in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Next.js and modern state management (we use Jotai)

• Real-time systems: WebSockets, streaming updates, and cache invalidation

• Schema design and query performance in Postgres

• Redis or other caching at scale

• Onchain data on Solana or EVM

• Experience owning what you build in production, including on-call
