Job summary

Think Consulting is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to support a critical, external-facing training application in the capital markets space. The role emphasizes backend and frontend development with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Angular, within an experienced eight-member engineering team.

You will design, develop, and maintain full stack applications, build scalable backend services and REST APIs, and contribute to automated testing and quality coverage within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Java development experience across OO design, collections and streams, and JVM concepts.
• Spring Boot development including REST APIs, DI, security/JWT, JPA/Hibernate, transactions, validation and REST Template/WebClient.
• Hands-on microservices development with REST design, service decomposition, scalability and resiliency.

Job description

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to support the development and maintenance of a critical, external-facing training application used within the capital markets space.

This is a development-focused role requiring strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, and Angular, working collaboratively with a team of 7 engineers. The engineer will contribute to both backend and frontend development while working within an experienced full stack engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Angular.
• Develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance microservices supporting application workflows, integrations, and data processing.
• Develop and maintain Angular UI components for external-facing applications.
• Develop and deploy solutions utilizing AWS cloud services.
• Participate in Git/GitHub-based development, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot application issues and support production stability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in automated testing and ensure appropriate quality coverage for new development and enhancements.
• Contribute within an Agile development environment.
