Job summary

Formlabs is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and build prototypes and production electronic systems. You will own projects across circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware, bringing systems up and validating them end-to-end.

You will back decisions with simulations and experiments, interacting with mechanical and software teams to ship robust hardware solutions. The role emphasizes hands-on product life cycle support and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years designing and debugging electronics for product use.
• Generalist hardware engineer with analog and digital design skills.
• Experience with prototyping, validation, and field debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, embedded firmware development, bring up and validation.
• Own projects, not just skills—full-stack engineer with focus on shipping products.
• Back up design decisions with data from simulations and experiments.
• Collaborate across hardware, mechanical, and software teams.
