Job summary

Datum Technologies Group in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a senior Full Stack Developer to design and lead enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js. You will shape microservices, AI-driven workflows, and cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.

You will integrate Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, and other AI/ML services, ensure secure, scalable platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including enterprise application design.
• 8+ years with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices.
• 8+ years with React and modern front-end architectures.
• Strong experience with Node.js, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design.
• Experience architecting cloud-native solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
• Hands-on Azure services experience (Storage, App Services, AKS, Functions, Cognitive Services).
• Experience integrating AI/ML platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, Document Intelligence.
• Understanding of security, observability, scalability, high availability.
• CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, DevSecOps.
• Strong communication and leadership to guide architecture decisions.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Agile.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the development of enterprise-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js.
• Define and implement scalable microservices architectures supporting media processing, AI-driven workflows, and real-time integrations
• Lead design and development of services that handle video, audio, image, and document ingestion, processing, and storage
• Develop integrations with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, and other AI/ML services for transcription, text-to-speech, document intelligence, and advanced data extraction capabilities
• Design secure, resilient, and highly available cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services, including Blob Storage, Kubernetes, App Services, and containerized workloads
• Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices for security, observability, performance, and reliability
• Drive API strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and reusable RESTful and event-driven integrations across platforms
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business objectives
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to development teams while contributing hands-on to critical implementations
• Lead architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and technical decision-making processes
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements across the application ecosystem
• Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, and operational excellence for both real-time and batch processing workloads
• Partner with cloud and platform engineering teams to establish CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and DevSecOps best practices
