Psychology Today is looking for a Full Stack Developer to contribute to our mission of providing mental health support. You will work on the Therapy Directory platform, focusing on the professional interface, APIs, and backend services used by therapists to manage profiles and connect with clients. As the largest directory of mental health professionals, we connect over 1 million people daily using a modern tech stack.
Responsibilities
- Develop modular frontends with Vue.js or similar frameworks within a micro frontend architecture.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate AWS services like AppSync, API Gateway, Lambda, and EventBridge.
- Create seamless, performant, and accessible UI components compatible across browsers and devices.
- Enhance developer workflows with automated builds, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Work remotely within a distributed team, using tools like Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace.
- Participate in Agile processes including sprints, standups, planning, demos, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of front-end or full stack development experience with polished UI delivery.
- Deep knowledge of Vue.js, component architecture, and module federation.
- Experience with serverless backend integration, preferably using GraphQL (AWS AppSync) and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with backend development in Golang within AWS environments.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous workflows.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote, asynchronous culture.
- Must be available for in-person meetings and/or a code challenge; only apply if qualified.
