Job summary

WiserBrand is seeking an experienced software engineer to join our team in the United States. You will build features on Next.js/React hosted on Vercel, integrate Contentful CMS, and work on admin tools backed by Prisma and MariaDB, focusing on coupon management and analytics.

You will collaborate across teams, manage releases, and contribute to QA and client-facing discussions. Strong TypeScript, Node.js, and API experience are essential; English communication is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience in a team environment.
• Strong TypeScript skills with Next.js App Router and Pages Router.
• Experience with headless CMS Contentful.
• Node.js server experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiar with Prisma ORM, MariaDB, Neon Postgres and Redis.
• Experience with Vercel and AWS (EC2, CloudFront, S3, autoscaling).
• Good Git practices (feature branches, code reviews, clean commits).
• Upper-intermediate or higher English.

Responsibilities

• Build features and fix bugs on Next.js and React websites hosted on Vercel, with content managed in Contentful.
• Work on an internal Next.js admin application backed by Prisma and MariaDB, used for functionality such as coupon management.
• Handle Jira tickets and client QA feedback in BugHerd, from initial investigation through release.
• Implement integrations such as store locators, appointment booking, coupons, analytics, personalization, and A/B testing.
• Manage releases, including branch and pull request workflows in Bitbucket, Bitbucket Pipelines, staging and production deployments, and post-release production checks.
• Explain technical issues clearly to project managers and non-technical client stakeholders.

• 6+ years of experience in software development in a team environment.

• Node.js experience on the server, as well as REST and GraphQL APIs

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of PHP, Symfony, and Twig sufficient to make targeted fixes in older codebases
• Experience with React Native and Expo
• Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, or Playwright
• Experience with SEO, Core Web Vitals, and accessibility
• Familiarity with experimentation and analytics tools, including GA4, GTM, and Contentful Personalization
• Experience using AI coding tools within a code-reviewed workflow
