The Simplot Company in Boise, Idaho, invites a skilled Full Stack Developer to design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable software supporting the Plant Sciences Team. The role blends Python-based full stack engineering, data pipelines, and ML workflows to deliver reliable business and scientific applications.

You will contribute to ERP and related module development, user-facing applications, and specialized solutions involving geospatial data, computer vision, and bioinformatics workflows,

Competenze

• Strong Python development experience building full stack web applications and APIs/services.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks for responsive UI development.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Usage of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar) for repeatable cloud deployments.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices: version control, testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with business, scientific, and technical teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Experience with data science, bioinformatics workflows, scientific computing, or biological data systems.
• Experience with lab information management systems or related data systems.
• Experience with computer vision, geospatial analysis, or location-based data products.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack web applications using Python and modern front-end technologies.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, performance improvements, documentation and production support for applications used by multiple teams.
• Develop and enhance ERP capabilities and modular software components, including system integrations and data workflows.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines in Microsoft Azure using Terraform and related tools.
• Create intuitive, accessible, and responsive user interfaces for complex workflows.
• Deploy applications across development, test, and production environments with logging, monitoring, security and release practices.
• Write clean, modular, well-documented code and participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, resolve defects, and balance new development with long-term maintainability.
