Role Overview
Ironclad Defense Works in Norfolk, Virginia, seeks an experienced Full Stack Developer to support mission-critical systems and enhance digital capabilities in defense operations. This role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining NATO’s web-based applications, ensuring system integrity, and enhancing cybersecurity measures. You’ll work closely with NATO teams, contributing to projects focused on interoperability, data management, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Development & Maintenance:Lead the development of both front-end and back-end features, ensuring a seamless user experience across NATO’s digital platforms.
• Collaboration:Engage in cross-functional collaborations with NATO teams and other stakeholders to support system integration, data sharing, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Security Compliance:Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to meet NATO’s high-security standards, contributing to secure data storage, access control, and compliance.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization:Quickly identify and resolve issues in application performance, ensuring all NATO systems meet mission requirements.
• Documentation:Maintain detailed technical documentation and coding standards for continuity and compliance with NATO’s operational frameworks.

Essential Qualifications

• Technical Skills:Expertise in languages such as JavaScript, Python, and C#, with strong experience in frameworks like React and Node.js. Proficiency in databases (SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Experience:5+ years in full-stack development, ideally within a defense or multinational context. Previous experience working with secure and scalable applications is highly desirable.
• Security Clearance:active Secret clearance.
• Soft Skills:Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multinational team.
