VTG is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer at the Full Performance to Expert level to support a backend team focused on middleware and services. The role emphasizes Solr/Elastic search, Java backend development, and AWS-based workloads.

Candidates should bring 5+ years in backend Java and 3+ years with Solr or Elastic search, plus big data exposure (Hadoop, PySpark, Spark, or HBase). A CS degree or equivalent is expected.

Formación

• Solr or Elastic Search experience of at least 3 years.
• Schema updates for Solr/Elastic search.
• Experience submitting Lucene queries.
• Knowledge of Solr/Elastic shards and performance tuning.
• 3+ years in big data environments using Hadoop, PySpark, Spark, or HBase (two of them preferred).
• 5+ years backend Java development with code reviews, unit and integration testing, deployment to production.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer at the Full Performance to Expert level

supporting a backend development team focused on middleware and backend services.

What will you do?

1. Demonstrated experience working with several AWS services. 2. Demonstrated experience with JIRA and GITHUB.

Do you have what it takes?

1. Intermediate to Expert level experience in Solr or Elastic Search (minimum 3 years) 2. a. Performing schema updates 3. b. Possessing significant knowledge & experience in submitting Lucene queries 4. c. Possessing significant knowledge & experience on how Solr/Elastic shards work 5. d. Possessing significant experience tuning Solr/Elastic for performance and query optimization 6. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a big data environment using tools such as Hadoop, Pyspark, Spark, and Hbase (prefer at least two of the list) 7. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, back-end Java development experience (not Javascript or Springboot) implementing code that undergoes code reviews, unit testing, integration testing and deployed to a production environment 8. College degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
