Job description

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Full Stack Developer (Angular+Node.js) to work on a large-scale project for one of our UK customers.

The customer is the world's largest P&C insurance company and the leading commercial lines insurer in the United States, with operations in 54 countries, it provides commercial and personal property-casualty insurance and supplemental health insurance. The company has administrative offices in Zurich, New York, London, Paris and elsewhere and employs approximately 40,000 people worldwide.

The main task is to create visually appealing and highly functional user interfaces and convert UI/UX designs into fully functional web applications.

Responsibilities

• Developing front-end web apps using Angular, HTML, and CSS.
• Building and maintaining back-end capabilities using Node.js and Typescript.
• Working with Azure solutions, such as Azure Blob, Cosmos DB and Azure Table Storage.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective application development.
• Troubleshooting and debugging web applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Participating in code review and solution documentation ensuring it is according to the requirements and functional specifications.
• Collaborating with architects and/or analysts to understand requirements and designs, translating business requirements into detailed solution design.
• Collaborating with UI/UX designers to implement design into the code and ensure the technical feasibility of UI designs.
• Analyzing application health and performance. Recommending solutions for improvement and optimization.
• Assisting in production issue resolution and root cause analysis.
• Providing feedback on areas for improvements in the development of solutions.

Requirements

• Experience in Full Stack development for 3+ years.
• Experience in developing front-end applications using Angular 7+ (Angular 17 is preferred).
• Good understanding of ES6 and TypeScript methods, functions, best practices and limitations.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• Understanding of component and state management libraries with demonstrable experience comparing and implementing them in data focused projects.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and pre-processors (LESS and SASS).
• Experience gathering and prototyping app requirements with stakeholders during the UI/UX design process while assessing and implementing component libraries (Material Design, Bootstrap or similar).
• Familiarity with RESTful API’s and asynchronous request handling.
• Understanding of version control, via the use of GitHub.
• Experience working with Postman and Swagger.
• Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Understanding of NodeJS and its uses in in modern web development through npm packages.
• Experience in teamwork with leaders in FinTech, Healthcare, Retail, Telecom, and others. Andersen cooperates with such businesses as Samsung, Siemens, Johnson & Johnson, BNP Paribas, Ryanair, Mercedes, TUI, Verivox, Allianz, T-Systems, etc..
